DJ’ing parties
Posted on Apr.28, 2012
I just DJ’ed a party with the most compact system ever. Laptop, computer speakers, iTunes and an iPod Touch with the iTunes remote app. Worked out pretty well, it seemed to be just the right amount of sound. I wanted a system that would display the visuals, but there was no TV available, so this was the next best thing. Not bad for a 13″ Macbook Air!

I love the sound of the Little Radiator. But as with Devil-Loc, it boosts the gain like mad and has no oputut attenuator. Makes it impossible to A/B and make sure you’re not really hurting more than helping.

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the structure of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?

I’m a music producer/mixer, not a website design guy. There aren’t many images, but there are plenty of soundcloud links on the samples page….

I do believe all of the ideas you have introduced in your post. They’re really convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are very short for beginners. May just you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the feedback. This blog is not really geared toward “beginners.” However, the services on the site are available to all.

I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A small number of my blog audience have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?

Sound Toys Decapitator is one of my favorite plnuigs of all time. The eq and tone control is really musical. I’m excited to see if they make an EQ or compressor as I feel like each of their plugs behave in an analog way.I may be in the minority but the UAD A800 doesn’t do it for me. Its cool to drive it but failing that I often either can’t tell the difference between on and bypassed or I’m not even sure if I like the tone. Sounds sort of removed or doughy accentuating the lows in a flabby way. Doesn’t really give me the tape sound that I’m familiar with. Granted I have minimal experience with Studers but I think it joins the ranks of plug ins with nice GUIs but no real soul. Waves plnuigs would also fall into that category most of the time as well. Anyways, I digress. Go Sound Toys!!!

There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well
